Nut

Made from lava stone, silver plated wire, threads and beads. 

Four years ago I made a few pairs of peruvian thread earings and I did not return to that technique ever since. If I remember correctly I never even posted photos of those earing anywhere, except for this little attempt at making a necklace like that. 

In case anybody wants to know why do those threads hold like that, I used a very thin layer of transparent gel nail polish at the back side near the beads on the edges. It's perfectly invisible and just makes the threads stiff enough to hold the shape.
